Played with a standard 52-card deck, the game pits the player directly against the dealer. The round begins with an Ante bet, after which both parties receive five cards. To provide a layer of strategy, one of the dealer's cards is dealt face-up. After inspecting their hand, the player must decide whether to Fold, forfeiting the Ante, or Raise by placing an additional wager equal to exactly twice the initial Ante.

Winning and Dealer Qualification

The dealer's hand must contain at least an Ace and a King (or a higher ranking hand) to qualify for play. If the dealer fails to qualify, the player is paid even money on their Ante, and the Raise bet is returned as a push.
